"I'm an avid small-boat angler who fishes a lot in western Long Island Sound, but at 72, I was discovering that my tolerance for cold weather was dramatically declining. Even though I could bundle up in fleece and foul weather gear, my wet hands would stiffen up to the point of becoming useless, creating a dangerous situation.
On the advice of a fishing buddy who is also a motorcyclist, I began using a heated morotcycle jacket and gloves. What was torture became fun again, and my hands functioned like they did in the summertime.
